Right the Ship Seattle will clarify its path to success after the Port of Seattle releases the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) in the second quarter of 2020. This will ensure our efforts respond appropriately to what is and isn’t included in the Port’s scope. Until then, it is critical to raise as much awareness about this project and potential impact on our city.

Options for Fighting Back

The Port of Seattle plans to begin cruise ship operations at Pier 46 in 2023. However, the community has options for stopping or significantly minimizing the impacts of this project. These options include leveraging:

Outreach campaigns

U.S. court system

Ballot measures

Executive power of the Governor

Washington State Legislature

Once the Port’s EIS is released in Q1 of 2020, Right the Ship Seattle will better understand which measures to take in fighting the proposed cruise ship terminal at Pier 46. Sign up to receive notifications of our progress.
