Issues

A new cruise ship terminal is coming to Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square district. Our citizen coalition is not here to stop cruise ships. We welcome everyone to Seattle.

 

Our purpose is to ensure common-sense restrictions on the cruise ship industry. Port cities around the world are either protesting or refusing cruise ships based on how cruise ships destroy their way of life through environmental damage, cultural impact, traffic, and risks to human health from toxic air.

 

We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn from these cities. This is our best shot to put enforceable policies in place that will help us avoid irreversible damage to our city. Read on to understand the challenges and opportunities we face.
